B Corp Certification is a third-party standards certification for businesses that are leading the way in changing our economic system to positively impact all stakeholders — workers, communities, customers, and our planet — not just shareholders. B Corp Certification is managed and awarded by the nonprofit B Lab.
To be eligible for certification, a company must be a for-profit entity, have at least one year of operations, and achieve a score of 80 or more. To maintain certified status once awarded, a company must re-certify every 3 years and pay the annual certification fee.
